About Util-Hub and our methods

Util-Hub provides free browser-based utilities: format JSON, create QR codes and UUIDs, calculate hashes, draft simple invoices and convert units. Financial planning pages show their formulas and ask you to supply verified assumptions. No account is needed to use these tools.

What changed on October 19, 2026

Our earlier county pages combined historic rate data with automatically generated explanations. We found stale figures and explanations that had not been individually verified. Those explanations are no longer displayed. The records are retained for review; they are not evidence of a current local rate. County labels now identify your scenario, not a certified rate or legal determination.

We also replaced fixed currency and cryptocurrency example prices with an explicit user-supplied quotation. The data-size converter now distinguishes decimal and binary units. Each planning result states its method and limitations. This is a correction to earlier claims of comprehensive, regularly verified county coverage.

How to check a result

1. Choose the tool matching the quantity you need. A mass ounce differs from a fluid ounce; a sales tax rate differs from an income tax rate.
2. Check the units, effective date and source of any input. Use the appropriate government authority, lender or service provider.
3. Try the worked example before applying your own figures. Keep the source values when rounding matters.
4. For tax, legal, medical or other consequential decisions, seek the appropriate professional or official guidance. Our tools do arithmetic; they do not certify eligibility or compliance.

Content and corrections

Some historical guides were prepared with AI assistance. A page’s existence or publication date does not establish that every legal or financial assertion is current. We do not claim an independent editorial team has verified every county or that all rates are updated monthly. New local rate claims require a named source and effective date before being presented as current.

Found a problem? Send the URL, the input and expected result, and a public source through Contact. Do not send bank credentials, private keys or other confidential material. We can investigate a reproducible error without needing access to your financial accounts.

Privacy and funding

Tool calculations happen in the browser. The site still receives normal page requests and operational access information. Optional analytics and advertising scripts load only after acceptance of the cookie choice. Advertising, when available, helps fund the service and does not make a result an endorsement.
